Decoding Annie Parker
Decoding Annie Parker explores how two women came together to save a life and change the world.
Synopsis
At nineteen, Annie Parker (Academy Award Nominee Samantha Morton) has lost her father unexpectedly and her mother and older sister to breast cancer. Although happily married to Paul (Aaron Paul, Breaking Bad, Need for Speed) and expecting her first child, something just isn’t quite right. Filled with trepidation, she visits the doctor and as her world is shattered all over again, Annie decides to fight her cancer diagnosis and defy history from repeating itself.
Meanwhile, miles away, brilliant research scientist Mary-Claire King (Academy Award winner Helen Hunt) is embarking on a tough but revolutionary journey to prove that some cancers have a genetic link and, in doing so, bring medicine one step closer to defeating the disease. As both women’s lives wind inexorably together, discoveries are made which traverse the realm of science as hope, love and survival become beacons in the darkest days of their toughest battles.
Based on an incredible true story and with an all-star cast including Maggie Grace (Taken, Twilight), Rashida Jones (The Social Network, I Love You Man), Alice Eve (Star Trek: Into Darkness, Men In Black 3) and Bradley Whitford (West Wing, The Cabin in the Woods), Decoding Annie Parker explores how two women came together to save a life and change the world.
