Row
When the sole survivor of an attempted North Atlantic crossing washes ashore, she must piece her memories together and face the terror of what happened far out at sea.
Synopsis
Washed ashore in Scotland on a blood stained rowing boat, a young woman suffering from severe memory loss appears to be the sole survivor of a doomed trans-Atlantic World Record attempt. With all of her crew mates missing, presumed dead, she must try and piece together her fractured memories of the ordeal in order to prove her innocence.
However, the truth is never simple. As a local DCI attempts to uncover what really happened on board the doomed vessel, memories emerge that point suspicion towards a mysterious crew member thought to be harbouring a dark secret, whilst other clues suggest that the boat was being deliberately sabotaged. The story that comes together is one of paranoia, continuous sleep deprivation and loss of trust among the crew, in a battle for survival not just against the unforgiving ocean, but against one another.
Directed by Matthew Losasso, who also serves as writer alongside producer Nick Skaugen, Row was filmed in Caithness, Scotland, and stars Sophie Skelton (Outlander, Stalker), Bella Dayne (Troy: Fall of a City, Girl You Know It’s True), Akshay Khanna (Polite Society, Red, White & Royal Blue), Mark Strepan (Call the Midwife, Casualty), Nick Skaugen and Tam Dean Burn.
